The University of Finance and Management (WSFiZ) in Białystok was founded on 1 October 1993. It is the oldest private institution of higher education in the region and one of the oldest in Poland. Besides the establishment in Białystok, the University has its branches in Ełk and Ostrów Mazowiecka. In 2012, the University took the first place in the region in the rating of private Master’s degree programs published by “Perspektywy”, “Rzeczpospolita” and “Wprost”. In 2012, the University was also awarded the title of the University of Leaders. WSFiZ offers a diversified structure of education in the field of economy, social studies, humanities and technical studies. Its educational offer includes the first-cycle program (Bachelor’s degree) in the field of Management, English Philology, Finance and Accounting, Spatial Planning, Economy, Construction, Russian Language in Business, and second-cycle program (Master’s degree) in the field of Management, Finance and Accounting, English Philology, Spatial Planning. The offer is complemented with lectures in English. It meets the expectations of Polish students and, at the same time, makes it possible to receive students from abroad. Besides the Erasmus program, in WSFiZ we have right now students from Turkey, India, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine. An important addition to the educational activity is a wide thematic selection of postgraduate programs and further education courses, which attract about 500 students every year. Professional conference rooms (400 and 120 places) with multimedia equipment and hotel rooms are also offered to external business entities for the organization of conferences, seminars and artistic events.
