Since 1991 the Suwałki Chamber of Agriculture and Tourism (SIRT) has been engaged in the development of tourism in northeastern Poland. It has received a number of honors and awards for its activities, including an award of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the two main prizes in the ‘Poland Even More Beautiful’ competition.
