The University of Finance and Management (WSFiZ) in Białystok was founded on 1 October 1993. It is the oldest private institution of higher education in the region and one of the oldest in Poland. Besides the establishment in Białystok, the University has its branches in Ełk and Ostrów Mazowiecka.
